Hello, faithful readers! I hope that 2010 is already treating you well and you are on your way to achieving all of your goals for this year.
With the Miss America pageant fast approaching, I thought it would be nice for us to share our goals with each other. I think that having a community surround can go a long way in helping you reach your goals.
Goal #1: Be supportive as I possibly can of the MAO, but also the state and local pageants out there.
This past year, I judged a few pageants and was also able to send magazines, information, etc. to pageants and it was nice to feel like, beyond writing the magazine, that I was making a difference. I am attending a local pageant here in Michigan this Saturday and I am looking forward to being supportive of ALL pageants in 2010.
Goal#2: Learn, Learn, Learn.
I don't want to blow my own horn, but I known a lot about MAO. However - there is no way that I can know everything, even if I wanted to. So in 2010, I am renewing my annual commitment to finding as much information about all things pageantry related for you so that you can put YOUR best foot forward. This could involve doing more intense research, having guest bloggers or guest writers, or...who knows? I'm excited to find out.
Goal #3: Choose Miss America 2011.
That's right. It's on. I've judged two state pageants, and I want a Miss America. Of course, this goal will depend on who wins Miss America 2010. BUT, I think it would be so neat to have chosen Miss America at the state level. So put the word out I am available to judge!
Goal #4: Blog Fast, Stronger, Better.
I love, love, love having a blog - but I'd like to update it more and explore more indepth topics that aren't covered in the magazine. Please feel free to let me know what you'd like to see me blog about!
Goal #5: Stop Obsessing About My Clothes.
It can be difficult working in the pageant industry, surrounded by beautiful clothing and even more stunning women. But this year, I vow to not worry about what I am wearing - to a certain extent - and just enjoy my time.
Your turn! What are your goals for 2010?
